Really?!?! Two Father's Days in one year?!?!
The boys made cards and gifts at school for Greg, but we did celebrate as we would in the U.S. Alden was very excited to give his to daddy and was very animated about it!
We were invited to BBQ with some vazinhos (neighbors). They live just down the street and have been wonderful to us. Dad (Nery) speaks 4 languages. He grew up on the Brazil/Argentina border so he learned Portuguese and Spanish at the same time. He had the option to move to Germany and the U.S. for work, so he speaks both German and English as well. He and his wife (Vannia) have 2 boys, Giovanni is 17 and Pietro is 10. They attend Sant'Anna and speak both English and Portuguese. Dad and the boys are incredibly musically talented! Mom is super sweet and has hired me to help her with her English. I said yes, if we could trade for guitar lessons! I have always wanted to learn!!!
One conversation we have had in the past is that they love American Breakfast (but you cannot get here - have to make everything). Vannia is in love with cinnamon rolls, so I taught myself and we surprised them as a thank you!
The boys immediately started to play some video games. They get along so well.
We had real Brazilian BBQ. It started with grilled cheese bread and sausage and then Picanha with this amazing rice with veggies and bacon and Brazilian potato salad.
Giovani played guitar, Pietro played drums and we all sang. Zane tried on a small guitar to see if he was interested. I hope he is!
Their backyard faces the lake. The boys all love Star Wars so they combined all their Light Sabers and had an Epic Battle.
Their house.
It was a wonderful day with great people!
Greg are you wearing Amber's skinny jeans?
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHA! Nope!!! Those are all him!
DeleteNO, no. If you look you can see the length. They aren't 6 inches too long.
