A few friends have asked about holiday decorations in Brasil. We decided to pay more attention to them. A lot of people decorate for the holidays, some are very simple, some are elaborate.
Some of the photos may be reposts, please forgive me!
First up - TVH Brasil is amazingly thoughtful. This culture is so giving. Every holiday the boys are given a gift. The gift is specifically picked out for them!! Look how nicely these were wrapped!!
Alden received a remote control car and Zane received a Pictionary type game. We love this as the words and phrases are all in Portuguese!
This is our gift from the company!!
Turkey, Ham, and chicken, chocolate, different bread cakes, champagne, a backpack and a thermal/insulated tote!
I, sadly, only brought one of our Christmas trees. Of course, my thought was the smaller the better for storage, for moving, for displaying, etc. But after putting it up, it looks pretty pathetic! Still, the boys had fun and that is what matters! Notice the lack of presents?!?! That is because we have a pretty amazing set up this year!
I have to admit: Buying all online, shipping somewhere else, having them wrapped and ready to go, well that is a pretty amazing setup!!!
I had to include this photo because this is what we were wearing when we put up our Christmas decorations! It was about 90 degrees and sunny. We ended up getting in the pool after decorating! Such a different, yet wonderful experience. Though, our brains continue to forget that it is December and that Christmas is around the corner. We are definitely fooled by the weather!
This is a normal display at one of the Shoppings (malls) near our house. The detail in these displays amazes me!! I look forward to seeing if they change it each year.
The entrance to our condomÃnio. Not the best photos due to being in motion! We didn't want to hold up the line!
The Lake in our condomÃnio. We were surprised one day when we went for a walk and saw the tree set up. We had to head down at night, completely covered in bug spray (man oh man do those mosquitoes love us!!) and check it out! The island that the tree is on is the island that the water fowl use. You could see them sleeping under the tree, illuminated by the lights. The lights in the background are the normal trail lights.
Some decor around our neighborhood.
