Lunch in Sousas

Our wonderful neighbors took us to lunch one Sunday. They took us to Bar da Cachoeira on the outskirts of the city of Sousas. The name means Waterfall Bar. It was an amazing experience.

It was about a 30 minute drive from our condo. The drive was beautiful and took us through a few areas we had not been before. Once we drove through the city, we turned on a rocky road. We traveled on this for a while until it turned into a dirt road. At this point, we had no idea where we were going! A while later, we turn into a parking lot and arrive at this beautiful restaurant. We were so enamored by the experience that we did not take many photos! Click here to see the restaurant's website!

The food was served family style and most of the dishes were fish or vegetarian. It was so delicious. The restaurant is known for its Caipirinhas and had many options!

This restaurant, like many here in Brasil, had an area for kids to play while waiting for food or while the adults visit. Zane, Alden and Mateo enjoyed playing together. There was even horseback riding across the creek!! Definitely an area we need to explore more!
