A Shave and A Haircut

Well, it cost a little more than 10 cents, but what a fun experience!

The V8 Barbearia* is located in Vinhedo and is the most unique barber shop I have ever visited (though my visits to barber shops aren't extensive!).

Upon entering the shop, your eyes are immediately drawn toward the retro style. There is a mustang pool table, eclectic decor on the walls and on display, guitars on the ceiling and an overall ambiance of rock and roll.

In addition to the fun atmosphere they also offer an extensive bar! This includes beers, some well drinks, juices, and more. They also have bar type snacks while you wait or after while you relax.

They offer many seating options throughout the shop and are very kid friendly. We enjoyed some chess and pinball while we waited.

And, if you are in the mood for a tattoo, you have the option to have that done on location.

The service they provide is amazing. Men are treated to a very intense and carefully inspected haircut. They use a razor around the edges to make all lines neat and clean. Then, they are shampooed and if you want or need, you are able to get a shave. They provide facial massages as well as exfoliating techniques.

The owner is always there, per Greg, and has talked to Greg about the move, his family, etc. He came and introduced himself to all of us "newbies". He was so kind and made sure we were well taken care of. Watching him, this seems to be his nature. He knew everyone that came in and if he didn't, he took the time to do so. His staff was just as friendly!

Greg went first and Zane was up next. Since Greg has been many times, we forgot to get before and after pictures. Here is Zane before. He was pretty excited to be at a place like this (and not having mommy cut his hair!)

And after! He picked how short! Makes him look too old.

Greg found this in the bathroom and thought it was funny!

While the boys were waiting Alden and I walked around and enjoyed the downtown Vinhedo area.

The picture doesn't do it justice, but this was a rainbow cloud!

We see this church with these clocks all the time as it sits up on the top of a hill and can be seen for miles. He was excited to find it!

Climbing up an almost 90 degree hill.

Made it!
