We started our Sunday with a family run/walk and then ended up at the campo de futebol (soccer field). Boys all had fun playing. Chewie had fun watching from the stands.
When we got home I made tapioca with eggs. Yum!
We watched a short show,
then headed to the grocery store. The boys are waiting while we check out and they are looking at the people going up and down what they have named the 'rampalator'.
Heading down to the car with our groceries.
After taking them home and putting them all away, we met some friends of Greg's who were helping us buy some light bulbs. They took us to two stand alone stores. We have not been to any stand alone stores yet so this was a new experience!
Our first stop was comparable to Lowe's or Home Depot with a Bed Bath & Beyond. It is called Leroy Merlin. The selection of items was also a bit different, but same concept. Picking out light bulbs was difficult as there were way more options than normal (and way more expensive!). We grabbed a handful and kept exploring. We found a few more things we needed, but we know we will find our way back to this store!
No carts have places for children to sit! Zane found these lawn mowers first and asked us if they were toys. It took a lot of convincing for him to believe that they were real. He wanted to know why they were so small!
After that, we headed over to a sporting goods store called Decathlon to explore. I guess there are some in the U.S., but we have never been to one. I was able to pick up some new athletic wear and the boys got a few toys.
We headed over to Shopping Parque Dom Pedro to eat and let the boys play.
We ate at Joe and Leo's and the boys both got burgers. They came with Emoji fries!!! They were so excited.
We found a small arcade and let the boys play!
Zane was thrilled with this game. You put yourself on the seat and wait to get dunked! He couldn't stop laughing.
And yes - it was his mom that got him!!
After they were done, we went to a Drogaria (Drug store) to look for some distilled water for Zane to use for his daily nasal rinses. And NOPE they don't sell it. We were told to go and visit with the doctor!! We have some other options as well, but something that seems so common to us is hard to find here in Brasil!
We are so grateful to all the people who give their time to help us become accustom to all things new to us!!
Look at me leaving a comment! :) The thumbs up emoji does not look like a thumbs up! :)
