Cars

We have two vehicles!!! You would not think that this was such a big deal, but I did not feel comfortable using Uber all the time with the boys as Alden is still in a booster seat.

Greg's car is a Honda Fit and is longer and roomy. This is the 'family car'. While I did drive it for a while when we were a single car family, it was always stressful and I felt like it was too big. Funny coming from the SUVs that I love so much!

The first time I drove the boys home (in July). It was stressful and I drove very slow. I am pretty sure I made a lot of people mad!! But we arrived home safe and sound.

I have a Toyota Etios Platinum. It is much shorter and compact than the Honda, which makes me feel so much more comfortable driving around! It is still roomy inside and the boys and I love it! For the first time, I think I found a car that encourages proper position for me. That may seem silly to some, but I have had to use pillows and supports in previous cars because of the angle of the bottom of the seat (hurting my hips) and the curve of the back of the seat causing a slouching position (creating stress on my neck and shoulders and not helpful for migraines).

Greg picking up the car! All wrapped up and pretty!! Greg was so thrilled, can't you tell.

The process of getting a license plate was crazy and involved going to three different locations. Greg did not think that sounded like much fun or easy as they are only open during business hours. A colleague told him about a "despanchante" that would handle all the paperwork for a small fee. He asked what else that company did and the answer was, "nothing". That's how complicated things can be here as there are entire businesses setup to just obtain license plates for people. After picking up the paperwork and heading to the final destination the process took 5 minutes for them to install the plates!
